The onetime Throwing Muses front woman returns in
January with Learn to Sing Like a Star. Hersh
produced the 14-track album herself, with
engineering help from Steve Rizzo. The effort is
tipped to break from the acoustic leanings of her
last solo affair, The Grotto for a more typical
Hersh sound. It's on deck for a Jan. 23 release
from Yep Roc Records in North America. Trusty 4AD
will release it in the United Kingdom.
